Under
the guidance of Christian Brother Barnabas McDonald (1865-1929), the first
Columbian Squires circle was instituted in 1925. Since that time, the Columbian
Squires have grown to more than 20,000 young men who have fun and share their
Catholic faith, help people in need and enjoy the company of friends in social,
family, athletic, cultural, civic and spiritual activities.
The Ramapo Valley Council Circle is sponsored by the Oakland based, Ramapo Valley Knights of Columbus Council 5846. The adult counselor for the Columbian Squires is PGK/SK Kevin Sorbanelli.
A Squires circle is designed to be run both by and for young men. Through their local circle, Squires work and socialize as a group of friends, gradually developing into Catholic leaders. If you are a Catholic young man between the ages of 10 and 18 years old, you can be a member of the Columbian Squires!
The Squires normally meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the council hall at 7:00 p.m.
If you'd like more information on our Squires Circle, please contact PGK/SK Kevin Sorbanelli or call the hall at (201) 337-7539.
